Berlin‘s finest in clarinet entertainment since 2000

Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, Darmstadt

Main purpose for our 5 days stay in Darmstadt were the rehearsals and live performance with the 24-piece Splitter Orchester in which both – Michael and Kai – are involved. Splitter performered it’s own improvised music and Mathias Spahlinger’s doppelt bejaht. Luckily we could squeeze in some Nothing activities as well. In front of the clarinet class of Ernesto Molinari we held a lecture about our approach to collective composing and gave some inside views on what really matters in the world of nothing. Later in the evening we played a live performance sharing the bill with our dear Splitter colleagues Morten J. Olsen and Robin Hayward. The room offered quite shitty acoustics and was even stinking like hell. Well, not every day is pure glamour. Anyway we had a very good time in Darmstadt.
