A Couple Of Couples

This evening was a very heartfelt affair as we wanted to do this for a long time. We produced the evening by ourselves at our very favourite ausland and got luckily some funding from Initiative Neue Musik Berlin e.V.. Next to a set of The International Nothing with two premiere performances of new compositions we had Barbara Romen and Gunter Schneider from Innsbruck, Austria on the bill performing Helmut Lachenmann‘s early and radical guitar duo piece Salut für Caudwell. It wasn’t only the symmetrical setting of the instrumentation, which made this a perfect match. (Read full conceptional text in German here … if you can.) As the audience we were also very happy with the evening, we thought the combination should come together again somewhere else. We will see.
